How To: Get Windows apps information from the web
Although the Windows Store is a very neat feature, you cannot
access it from a browser. So if you are in another computer or in a
different phone and you want to access the Store, you cannot. However,
you can use the MetroStore Scanner, a website dedicated to gathering
information about all of the available apps while keeping an updated
database on every single one.
There are loads of things you can do in the website. You can search
for an app so that you can find and install it later in your computer,
get information about the apps like which countries they are available
in, price details, descriptions and finally a link to its Microsoft page
with screenshots and more.
You can search for any app by typing its name in the filter box. You
can also browse the huge list of apps available and sort them by
country, type, platform and date. When you click on any app a small
window will open that will give you some information about it without
the need for you to leave the tab you are in. Then you can simply close
the details window and continue browsing.
