How To: Filter image search results in Google
How To: Filter image search results in Google
I am constantly amazed at how many people have no clue about
Google’s advanced searching features. I see people every day desperately
searching for an image or a particular search result with no luck
because they do not use that feature. So here is how you can use the
features yourself in order to always find what you are looking for.
To start with, search for anything in Google so that you go to the
results page. Below the search box you will see the options you are used
to like Web, Images and Maps. In the far right, however, are the Search
tools, something that people seem to always miss. Click on that and the
search filters will appear at the bottom. The search filters depend on
your main search filter. For example, when you search the Web, you will
be able to set filters based on location and time. When you search for
Images, you will be able to search for different sizes, usage rights,
and authors. Now you will always find what you are looking for.
