How To: Enable a guest account in Chrome

We have talked about Chrome’s experimental features before but there is one in particular that a lot of users will enjoy. You can now enable guest browsing in your Chrome browser so that the user browsing does not have access to your profile and whatever is associated with it. The feature is available on Chromebook but you can also access it in your browser from the experimental features tab.

Simply enter this chrome://flags/#enable-new-profile-management into your address bar to go directly to the feature or simply enter chrome//flags to find it on your own and check out the rest of them. After you enable the feature you will need to restart Chrome for it to take effect. You will then notice a new avatar in the top left corner of the browser. Clicking on it will let you browse as a guest. You can set it up before letting someone use your browser so that they will not access your information. Moreover, anything they will do will not appear in your history and no cookies will be stored.
