How To: Create eBooks from Wiki Articles

Wikipedia is one of the biggest sources with countless interesting articles about anything you can imagine. On top of that, you can also create eBooks out of them.
If you want to create an eBook, first of all find an interesting article, then click on the ”Print/Export” link, which is in the list of options on the left.

Click on the” Create a book link under Print/export”

Then the Book creator will show up. Click” Start book creator”

The book creator is now on top of the article you chose. If you want to add it in your eBook, click ”Add this page to your book”

If you also want to add other articles, which are related to your eBook let me show you a couple ways to do it.First of all, you can simply hover your mouse over the article you chose. Click the ”Add linked wiki page to your book”.

The other way is the suggest pages link. Click ”suggest pages”, which is in the Book creator box.

In the suggestions menu click on the green plus button next to the article in order to add it. The article you just selected is removed from the list and replaced with a new one.

Once you finished your selection click the” Show” link, which is in the ”Your book” box.

In the ”Manage your book” page you can rearrange the order of your articles,create and group them into chapters, view or even delete the ones you don’t want and download your finished product. If you want to delete an article click on the trash icon next to it. There is also another icon right next to the previous one, which allows you to view an article.

Now if you want to create a chapter click the ”Create a chapter” option, which is right above the list of articles. Then a dialog pop up box will appear, where you can name and confirm your chapter. After this process your new chapter displays at the end of the articles.

Every article can be added in chapters with a simple drag and drop process.

Finally select the right format for your eBook from the” Format” list box and then download your product.

The Rendering screen will show up allowing you to see the conversion progress of your product. When the conversion ends click ”Download the file” link.

You should now have an eBook file in your Downloads section.Transfer the file in a mobile device and read the information wherever you want.
