How To: Manage tabs in Google Chrome

When I am working on my computer, I constantly find myself in need of managing the tabs in Chrome quickly. I might have to organize 20 tabs all at once or duplicate a couple of them very fast. Thankfully, Google Chrome provides a lot of ways to manipulate the tabs that will save you a ton of time once you get to know them.

Open/Close a tab: To open a new tab, press Ctrl + T. To close the tab you are on, press Ctrl + W. To reopen the most recently closed tab, press Ctrl + Shift +T.
Selecting multiple tabs: This can be done like in pretty much every other application. Simply press the Ctrl button and click on the tabs you want to select. Otherwise, press the shift key to select a row of tabs.
Keeping only the current tab open: If you have a lot of open tabs and you only want to keep your current one, right click on it and select the “Close other tabs” option. You can also choose to only close any tab that is on the right of your current one.

Create a new window out of a tab: Simply click and drag the tab anywhere in your computer. This action will create a separate Chrome window that will have the tabs you have selected.
Duplicate tabs: Right click on the tab and choose the duplicate option. Alternatively, press Alt + D and then Alt + Enter. The first command will direct focus to the address bar and the second will recreate it in a new tab.
Bookmark multiple tabs: If you want to bookmark all of the tabs you currently have open, right click on any tab and choose the “Bookmark all tabs” option.
Pin a tab: If you want to always have that specific tab open, simply right click on it and choose the Pin option. This will move it to the start of the window and will make it very compact.
