How To Force graphics options to your games
Although most games offer at least some graphical options,
you might find them limited or you might not want to set them every time
you launch a game. This is especially true for lower end hardware that
you might want to use the lowest settings possible in order to run the
game. You can set these options from the Control Panel of your hardware
that should be installed in your computer if you update your drivers.
There is a control panel for Nvidia, AMD and Intel cards. If you do not
have the control panel installed in your systems you will have to
download a driver package and install them. These panels can be accessed
either by their system tray icon or by right clicking on your Desktop
and selecting them from the context menu.
1. NVIDIA
. In the left side you will see various tabs. Collapse the 3D
Settings menu as this is what you will need. First, go to the “Adjust
image settings with preview” window. To force graphics changes into your
3D applications, check the “Use my preference emphasizing” box and
adjust the slider to suit your needs. After that, go to the “Manage 3D
Settings” window and adjust the global settings as you desire. You can
even set program-specific settings if you want to add exceptions.
2. AMD
Click on the Gaming item in the left side panel. You will see a “3D application Settings” item below that. Click on that to continue. As is the case with the NVIDIA panel, you can set global and custom settings. The global settings here are managed by the “System Settings” menu so if you change that it will apply in every program and game.
3. INTEL
First of all, you will need to go to the Graphics Properties menu.
Then, enter the advanced settings menu and go to the 3D panel. Here you
will simply find some sliders that you will let you boost your
performance or improve the quality of the games. Since the Intel cards
are integrated they cannot offer much more options than that at this
point.
